Oh you are a fool. David Blaine is one of the greatest magicians of our time. He is good because his misdirection, the key tool of a magician, is better than any one of his contemporaries. He doesn't need large props, dramatic movements, and machines to make his illusions great. Only those pompous stage magicians need that. Their magic is not the work of a true magician. David Blaine does magic up to par with the old masters, such as Robert Houdin. They did close up, impromptu magic to amaze people. Stage magicians may be able to do this, but their main attraction is stage illusions that are indeed amazing, but have nothing to do with skills. David Blaine is not an escapeologist. He does not claim to be an escapeologist. He is a street magician. And if his ability to amaze the general public with simpler tricks, then more power to him. It just means he has the skill to MAKE them amazing. Lovell's attempts to "duel" Blaine are childish, and he should be ashamed. You should be ashamed as well. Houdini died in bed of appendicitis.
